Becoming a parent is, without a doubt, one of the most incredible, life-changing moments a person can ever experience, and it goes by in the blink of an eye. As a mum, I know that those first months most certainly feel long but before you know it, your tiny newborn will be walking, talking and taking on the world. A newborn shoot will give you a permanent reminder of your baby’s once-in-a-lifetime moment.

When I first became a mum, I didn’t get any pictures taken professionally of my little boy. I thought that newborn shoots were too expensive and I would be able to take pictures on my phone for free. This is a decision that I thoroughly regret and I would pay anything to turn back time and have photos taken of my tiny baby. Fortunately, I feel privileged to be able to capture these moments for families.

These sessions take place in your own home to allow for comfort and relaxation. Sessions can last anywhere between 2-3 hours. This is to allow time to feed, change and comfort your baby whenever they need it. The ideal time to have a newborn shoot is before your little one is 8 weeks old, but I would recommend booking in a session a few months before you are due to give birth.
